Meanwhile, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia made easy work of Greenfield/Northwestern on Tuesday and carried off a 16-6 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Mylee Tracy was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Tracy was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Lucie Dion was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lindy Parlier, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenfield/Northwestern only posted an OBP of .367.
Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
