The Benjamin Mustangs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Chillicothe 83-22 at home. Fans of Benjamin have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Benjamin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keegan Hayes out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. Hayes is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jules Pugi, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Benjamin's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.7 points per game. As for Chillicothe, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Coincidentally, Benjamin and Chillicothe will both be playing Harrold the next time they take the court. Benjamin will head out to face Harrold at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chillicothe will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
