Doyle is 3-0 against Pine since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Doyle Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Pine Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
Last Tuesday, Doyle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Pope John Paul II. That's two games in a row now that Doyle has lost by exactly six points.
Meanwhile, Pine came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Springfield 47-44.
Doyle's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-5. As for Pine, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Doyle took their victory against Pine in their previous meeting back in November of 2015 by a conclusive 66-43. Does Doyle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
