The Lehighton Indians lost against the Pottsville Crimson Tide back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lehighton took a hard 58-39 fall against Pottsville.
Letrel Montone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pottsville, scoring 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Montone has scored all season. Chase Oswald was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lehighton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Pottsville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Lehighton will be playing in front of their home fans against North Schuylkill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Schuylkill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Lehighton likes a good challenge. As for Pottsville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Palmyra at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. Palmyra will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Pottsville is ranked 172nd).
