Charlotte Elite Academy suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Central Carolina Prep by a score of 72-70.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Quincy Dunn, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Taylor, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Comenius, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-56 loss to Greater Cabarrus S on Thursday.
Charlotte Elite Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Comenius, they bumped their record down to 9-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Charlotte Elite Academy against Comenius in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 98-53 victory. With Charlotte Elite Academy ahead 55-27 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
