The Lyndhurst Golden Bears won the last time they faced the Harrison Blue Tide, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lyndhurst simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harrison 52-13 on the road. The team accrued 40 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Lyndhurst's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asya Akar, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Akar's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Mayer, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Lyndhurst now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Harrison, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1.
Lyndhurst will be home for the holidays to greet Secaucus at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Secaucus will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Harrison will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Indian Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
