This season hasn't been kind to the Greer Middle College Blazers, who are still winless after their fifth match. They were dealt a 70-15 loss at the hands of High Point Academy on Thursday. Greer Middle College was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.
Chantel Lyles was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 15 steals for High Point Academy. The matchup was Lyles' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cherri Yates, who scored 17 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Greer Middle College's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for High Point Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Greer Middle College won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against GREEN Upstate at 6:15 p.m. on December 1st. As for High Point Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
