After a string of four wins, the Windsor Locks Raiders's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Rockville by a score of 76-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Windsor Locks lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyle Hinckley. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sincere Monroe, who scored ten points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
Windsor Locks' loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Rockville, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Canton at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Canton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Windsor Locks is ranked 41st). As for Rockville, they will head out on the road to challenge East Granby at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
