The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to Washington County. If Onaga hoped to take revenge for the 55-35 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, Onaga still got an impressive performance from Jackson Kolterman, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kolterman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rayce Fisher, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Onaga's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Washington County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Onaga will head out on the road to face off against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington County, they will be playing at home against Blue Valley on Saturday. Blue Valley and Washington County are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
