They claimed a resounding 72-21 victory over Islamic Foundation on the road. The win was familiar territory for Morton Grove Academy who now have seven in a row.
Youssef Hassab was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zayd Ibrahim, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Morton Grove Academy's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.2 points per game. As for Islamic Foundation, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morton Grove Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Unity Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Islamic Foundation, they will take on Harvest Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
