The Central Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Parkview Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While Central couldn't quite beat the Wildcats on Tuesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 48-point defeat they were dealt on Monday. Central fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 46-44.
Meanwhile, Parkview's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Camdenton, falling 88-40. While losing is never fun, Parkview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Lakers are ranked 153rd).
Despite the loss, Parkview got a solid performance out of Brooklynn Masten, who scored 17 points along with four steals. That was a full 42.5% of Parkview's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Rachel Leeveille was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Central's loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.
Central might still be hurting after the 59-35 loss they got from the Vikings when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Central, Jestiny Worley (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
