Softball Recap: South County Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

South County won the last time they faced Alexandria City and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Stallions put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 19-9 win. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ava Abromavage was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Kiley Gregory also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

South County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory (which was South County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Alexandria City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
