The La Joya Coyotes are on the road again on Thursday and play against Harvest Christian at 9:00 a.m. on November 30th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, La Joya strolled past Sharyland with points to spare, taking the game 75-60.
Leo Villarreal had a dynamite game for La Joya, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Hinojosa, who scored 12 points.
Harvest Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past San Isidro, posting a 78-40 victory on the road. The win was just what Harvest Christian needed coming off of a 54-29 loss in their prior game.
The last time La Joya lost on the road was back on November 14th. Having now won three straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 4-6. As for Harvest Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
La Joya took their victory against Harvest Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2016 by a conclusive 68-46. Does La Joya have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harvest Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
