Pascack Hills is a perfect 5-0 against Indian Hills since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Broncos will challenge the Braves at 4:15 p.m. Pascack Hills will be strutting in after a win while Indian Hills will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Pascack Hills got the win against St. Mary by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Anthony Blackford made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Pascack Hills is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-8 otherwise. Blackford was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Pascack Hills got a massive performance out of Corey Ginsberg, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. Ginsberg has become a key player for the Broncos: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was John Giannantonio, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Pascack Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Indian Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-1 to Pascack Hills.
Indian Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LJ Renshaw, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Pascack Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Pascack Hills took their win against Indian Hills in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
