The Parkview Christian Patriots put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Pawnee City by a score of 43-36. That's another feather in the cap for Parkview Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Parkview Christian to victory were Merryl Paul and Jada Smith. Paul scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds, while Smith dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Paul has scored at least 25% of Parkview Christian's points.
Parkview Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Pawnee City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkview Christian will challenge Cornerstone Christian School on Tuesday. As for Pawnee City, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnson County Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
