The North Callaway Thunderbirds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 82-57 margin over Paris. Considering North Callaway has won three matches by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
North Callaway had a senior duo take command as Isiah Craighead shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 33 points and 16 rebounds and Sam Pezold scored 27 points along with six assists and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Pezold has scored at least 25% of North Callaway's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Blair, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for North Callaway and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Paris, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
North Callaway will be home for the holidays to greet Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Callaway in Missouri (Montgomery County is ranked 169th, while North Callaway is ranked 351st). Paris' road trip will continue as they head out to face Fayette at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
