Newman has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the IMG Academy Ascenders at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Newman is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than IMG Academy in their respective states (Newman is ranked 23rd in Massachusetts, while IMG Academy is ranked 123rd in Florida).
On Thursday, Newman suffered a rough 68-42 defeat at the hands of Marie Philip. Newman has struggled against Marie Philip recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, IMG Academy pushed their score all the way to 58 on Sunday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bullis. IMG Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for IMG Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
