After a string of three wins, the Jim Ned Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Holliday by a score of 40-38. Jim Ned was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Holliday apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
It was another big night for Keitenn Bristow, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds for Holliday. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bristow has scored at least 25% of Holliday's points. Grant Cox was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Jim Ned's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Holliday, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Jim Ned will square off against Eastland at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday. Eastland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 840th, while Jim Ned is ranked 170th). Holliday is on the road again on Thursday and play against Graham at 5:00 p.m. on November 30th. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Holliday likes a good challenge.
