Mountain View is 1-9 against Prairie since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mountain View Thunder will look to defend their home court against the Prairie Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Mountain View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Mountain View lost to Evergreen on the road by a decisive 58-40 margin.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: Mylee Thompson scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Wright, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Prairie took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-32 victory over Heritage. Given Prairie's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Heritage is ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mountain View's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Prairie, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Mountain View beat Prairie 58-48 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Mountain View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prairie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
