On Friday, the Pine-Richland Rams faced the Penn Hills Indians in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pine-Richland came out on top against Penn Hills by a score of 16-9. The victory was nothing new for Pine-Richland as they're now sitting on six straight.
Pine-Richland found their leader in underclassman Aaron Strader, who rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Pine-Richland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Penn Hills, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 9-3.
Pine-Richland will face off against Peters Township at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Penn Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
