Corynn Foster was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Arianna Collins, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Chandler Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 15-0 to Morenci. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Titans haven't been shut out since back in February.
Chandler Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giada Lowman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Chandler Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leading Edge Academy - GEC hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. However, it's not like Chandler Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
