Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, Mo.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 10 points, drop to three before the final whistle blew on a 10-7 victory over
Anderson Cavaliers (Anderson, S.C.).
The Chargers/Eagles were up 3-0 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal by
Logan Spaulding in the second quarter.
Lighthouse Christian's standout player in the win was
Josiah Lockwood. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Cavaliers'
Jacob Vandonkelaar played well. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown.
Anderson Cavaliers' lone touchdown came on a 15-yard pass from
Davis Cousar to Vandonkelaar in the fourth quarter.
LC came into the game allowing 15.0 points per game. The seven points that AC ended with were well below its average of 23.5 coming into the game.
