Bountiful has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Sky View Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bountiful focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Bountiful at home against Spanish Fork as the team secured a 54-26 victory. With Bountiful ahead 32-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Bountiful relied on the efforts of Taylor Harvey, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds, and Milika Satuala, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harvey has scored at least 25% of Bountiful's points. Adelaide Stevenson was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Sky View proved on Friday. They came out on top against Roy by a score of 42-29. That's two games straight that Sky View has won by exactly 13 points.
Sky View can attribute much of their success to Makena Smart, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Smart hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Karlee Allen, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists.
Bountiful's win lifted them to 2-2 while Spanish Fork's loss dropped them down to 1-3.
Everything came up roses for Bountiful against Sky View when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 62-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bountiful since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
