Softball Recap: Oswego Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Oswego got themselves on the board against Bolingbrook on Wednesday, but Bolingbrook never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 21 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Adalynn Fugitt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Kiyah Chavez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Oswego was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive games.

Oswego's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Bolingbrook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Oswego is set to challenge their familiar foe Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.2, the Foxes 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bolingbrook will face off against rival Oswego East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
