Warwick is a perfect 10-0 against Washingtonville since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Wizards at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Warwick has five straight wins, Washingtonville has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Warwick beats Washingtonville with six runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out Valley Central 6-5 on Wednesday.

Olivia Martino made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Eva Garofalo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Etta Garofalo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Warwick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Washingtonville came up short against Newburgh Free Academy on Wednesday, falling 13-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wizards have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Everything went Warwick's way against Washingtonville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Warwick made off with a 13-1 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wizards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
