After flying high against the Glenbrook North Spartans last Friday, The Glenbrook South Titans came back down to earth. Glenbrook South's rough 42-18 defeat to Barrington on Friday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Glenbrook South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Barrington is ranked seventh).
It was another big night for Dillon Fitzpatrick, who rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Fitzpatrick is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Barrington also got a significant boost from Calvin Jackson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 115 yards.
Barrington's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Glenbrook South's QB won't forget Devan Van ness anytime soon given Van ness sacked him seven times.
Glenbrook South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Barrington, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Glenbrook South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Barrington also has no future games currently scheduled.
