The Godley Wildcats will take on the Sweetwater Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Godley entered their tilt with Benbrook with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Godley skirted past Benbrook 31-28.
Godley found their leader in underclassman Adam Pempsell, who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Pempsell hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Wyatt Burke and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Godley's win.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Sweetwater made sure to put some points up on the board against Snyder on Friday. Sweetwater came out on top against Snyder by a score of 51-38.
Korda Moore got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 106 yards and five touchdowns on only 11 carries. Amare Arevalo was another key contributor, gaining 169 total yards and a touchdown.
Godley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Sweetwater, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.
