Basketball Recap: Paul Public Charter International Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kamrin Milam and Nasir Rodgers

The Paul Public Charter International Pirates lost 67-47 to the Woodbridge Vikings on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pirates came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 23rd in District of Columbia, while the Vikings are ranked 143rd in Virginia).

Paul Public Charter International's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nasir Rodgers, who went 6 of 14 en route to 18 points, and Kamrin Milam, who posted 16 points.

Paul Public Charter International's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Woodbridge, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Paul Public Charter International will challenge Parkside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodbridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Potomac Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Woodbridge has won seven straight at home dating back to last season, while Potomac Senior won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
