This week's postseason action didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.
Welcome
Say hello to St. Paul: the team broke into the power rankings at the 25th position after its notable last-week performance. It kept its opponent Heppner off the scoreboard entirely, winning the match 26 - 0. St. Paul was heavily favored coming into this contest, and the results showcase why.
Can't Touch This
Clackamas's 41 - 33 win over Oregon City last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior James Millspaugh. Millspaugh earned two touchdowns and 274 yards rushing the ball. That performance landed Millspaugh among the top power-ranked players for the week.
Movin on Up
It was onward and upward for Mazama this week as the team hoisted itself up eight places in the power rankings -- the largest rise of the week -- after their most recent game. Everything went its way against Henley as it secured a 50 - 0 win. That 50-point margin marks the most Mazama has won by all season.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Mountain View (13th in the power rankings) and Churchill (9th). Both teams are coming in hot off of wins in their previous games. Of course, Mountain View and Churchill can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Saturday which team falters and which extends its success.
