The Evergreen Christian Eagles had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down St. James 50-32 on Friday. The win was just what Evergreen Christian needed coming off of a 50-26 loss in their prior matchup.
Evergreen Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camryn Hackney, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Adriana Jenkins, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Evergreen Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for St. James, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evergreen Christian and Mountain View Christian Academy will face off at 4:30 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Evergreen Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for St. James, they will be playing at home against Clinton Grace at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (St. James is ranked 265th, while Clinton Grace is ranked 240th).
