Sierra Vista found their leader in underclassman Taylor Lane, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lane scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Chyann Felker, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Sierra Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Green Valley the next time they take the court. Cimarron-Memorial will head out to face Green Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Sierra Vista will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
