Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield Senior). Everything went their way against the Rogers Rams on Friday as they made off with a 20-0 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Joshua Malone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Mansfield Senior is 2-1 when Malone posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Peyton Page was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Mansfield Senior: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Sean Tanner was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Mansfield Senior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the third in a row for Mansfield Senior, bringing their record up to 7-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Mansfield Senior will take on Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rogers, they will challenge Springfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
