With a playoff game on the line, Cerritos rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 76-46 victory over the Jaguars. Cerritos has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Fontana typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Yucca Valley proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 win over the Steelers.
Jadon Pierce was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javin Hudson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Cerritos' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Yucca Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
