Dillon has gone 9-1 against Georgetown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dillon Wildcats will square off against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Dillon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
Dillon will head into Friday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Marlboro County 59-57.

Dillon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Zamaurious Robertson, who posted 21 points and three steals, and Jamarion Fling, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Fling has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazier Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Georgetown against Cheraw on Monday as the squad secured an 80-41 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Braves are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dillon better keep an eye on Amos Jones. He was instrumental in Georgetown's win, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. Jari Ford was another key player, putting up 19 points.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Dillon, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Robertson and Jones. Robertson has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 14.8 points, 1.1 steals, and 3.2 rebounds. For his part, Jones has averaged 20.2 points, 2.7 assists, and 3.7 boards.
Dillon was able to grind out a solid win over Georgetown in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 56-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Georgetown's Ty Stanley, who had 22 points. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Dillon to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
