Basketball Game Preview: Bloomington Central Catholic Saints vs. Prairie Central Hawks

Bloomington Central Catholic is 8-2 against Prairie Central since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bloomington Central Catholic Saints will host the Prairie Central Hawks at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Bloomington Central Catholic's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Prairie Central has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Bloomington Central Catholic picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Maroa-Forsyth by a score of 60-51.

Emme Hurie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Karissa Cook, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Prairie Central came up short against Illini Central/Greenview on Saturday, falling 44-22.

Bloomington Central Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Prairie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.

Everything came up roses for Bloomington Central Catholic against Prairie Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 69-34 win.
