Even though the Lynnfield Pioneers have not done well against the Amesbury Redhawks recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lynnfield enjoyed a cozy 36-22 win over Amesbury. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lynnfield.
Despite the loss, Amesbury still got an impressive performance from Calista Catarius, who scored ten points. Catarius is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.
Lynnfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Amesbury, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Lynnfield will challenge Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Amesbury, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ipswich at 5:00 p.m.
