Thursday just wasn't the day for Westland's offense. They lost 17-0 to Buckeye Valley on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Delaware Christian got the win against Tree of Life Christian on Thursday by a conclusive 14-7. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Delaware Christian got a massive performance out of Claire Costello, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Costello has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Meira Botkin, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Delaware Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Delaware Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. As for Westland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Westland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Delaware Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .639. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
