The University School Preppers won the last time they faced the Benedictine Bengals, and things went their way on Friday too. University School blew past the Bengals 77-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for University School.
Several Bengals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damone Darmond, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Bryce Meitin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
University School's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Benedictine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
University School's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Benedictine, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. St. Ignatius knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 games -- so hopefully the Bengals like a good challenge.
