Luke Deperno Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, West Ranch got the W thanks in part to Luke Deperno playing the best football he has all season. Deperno rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run.
If the past is any indication, Deperno could be in store for another big game when he takes on Castaic on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Deperno saw the Coyotes), he rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry.

Zach Rogozik Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Hart was led to victory by Zach Rogozik, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Rogozik rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
The win was the sixth in a row for Hart, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Rogozik and Hart will challenge Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Brian Bonner Delivers Electric Effort Vs Canyon
Valencia found a leader in Brian Bonner as the team took down Canyon on Friday. Bonner was dynamite, rushing for 149 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards.
For the year, Bonner has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 48.7 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to 13.

Valencia Gets a Boost from Bretthauer in 55-7 Victory
Keeping Bonner company is Brady Bretthauer, a fellow Valencia player. He threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
This year, Bretthauer has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 221.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two passing touchdowns.

Rounding off our Top Five is Monty Coleman of Castaic. Coleman picked up 72 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 79 yards.
Castaic is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Coleman and Castaic will venture away from home to face off against West Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
