South Haven Christian's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Highland Rim Academy with points to spare, taking the game 39-23. This was a revenge matchup for South Haven Christian, as the team was forced to settle for a 34-31 loss when these two played last Friday.
South Haven Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aliya Gagliano out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Gagliano is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Slagle, who scored 15 points.
South Haven Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Highland Rim Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5.
South Haven Christian will take on Pleasant View Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pleasant View Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Monday. As for Highland Rim Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Community will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Highland Rim Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
