Bountiful is a perfect 10-0 against Northridge since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bountiful RedHawks will square off against the Northridge Knights at 3:30 p.m. Bountiful is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
If Bountiful beats Northridge with nine runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went Bountiful's way against Viewmont on Tuesday as Bountiful made off with a 9-0 win. The RedHawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.
Ella Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bountiful let Isabeau Hoff and Claire Yates run wild. Hoff went 1-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Yates scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave Hoff a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspyn Danner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Bountiful kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Northridge came up short against Clearfield on Tuesday and fell 15-10.
Makaybree Nay and Madisyn Lecour did some serious damage despite the final result: Nay scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Lecour scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Jayden Anderson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Bountiful's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Everything went Bountiful's way against Northridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Bountiful made off with a 21-6 win. Does Bountiful have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
