Apollo Ridge is a perfect 3-0 against Springdale since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Dynamos at 3:45 p.m. Apollo Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.

Apollo Ridge had been on a seven-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but South Allegheny put an end to it on Monday. The Vikings took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladiators. That makes it the first time this season the Vikings have let down their home crowd.

Mikaila Ditty was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Ditty wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Springdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against South Allegheny, falling 21-1.

Springdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Apollo Ridge, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2.

Everything went Apollo Ridge's way against Springdale in their previous matchup back in April of 2018, as Apollo Ridge made off with a 17-8 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dynamos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
