The Sierra Vista Dons will head out to face off against the Baldwin Park Braves at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Vista is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Sierra Vista will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Garey last Thursday. The Dons were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Dons, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Marlene Diaz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Diaz was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sierra Vista got a massive performance out of Kayla Iniguez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Iniguez a new career-high. Aleena Mora was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Sierra Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garey only posted an OBP of .346.
Meanwhile, Baldwin Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Garey, falling 16-4.
Julia Arvizuv made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
Sierra Vista has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Baldwin Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Baldwin Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sierra Vista has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. It's a different story for Baldwin Park, though, as they've only averaged .354. Will they be able to contain Sierra Vista's hitters?
Everything went Sierra Vista's way against Baldwin Park in their previous meeting on April 10th, as Sierra Vista made off with a 13-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
