The Heritage Mountaineers are taking a road trip to face off against the Farragut Admirals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Katelyn Russell was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Autumn Brooke Perrin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Carly Smith was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Farragut can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Grace Christian Academy a 3-0 shutout.
The result came thanks to Hallie Grace Johnson's shutout, as she gave up just two hits.
At the plate, Elsa Morrison was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Albright, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Farragut, their record is now 21-7-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Heritage hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Farragut struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Heritage came out on top in a nail-biter against Farragut in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
