The Boulder Panthers will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Broomfield Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Boulder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Fairview. Boulder has struggled against the Knights recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Kyle Blauch put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 12 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Morrow, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Boulder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairview only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, Broomfield pushed their score all the way to 74 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 81-74 to Monarch.
Boulder has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Broomfield, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
