It was a good run, but The Marin Catholic Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to San Marin 10-6. The low total for Marin Catholic limited their streak of high-flying scores to seven in a row.
San Marin had a senior duo take command as Dominic Ingrassia threw for 240 yards and a touchdown and Blake Hart picked up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown. Hart's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.
Marin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for San Marin, their win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marin Catholic will take on Bishop O'Dowd at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop O'Dowd will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Marin Catholic is ranked 79th). As for San Marin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
