Even though The Trinidad Trojans scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, the Fannindel Falcons still came out on top. Fannindel snuck past Trinidad with a 70-64 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fannindel also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
It was another big night for Kazion Dugan, who rushed for 74 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Dugan is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalob Runnels , who picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Fannindel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Trinidad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.
Fannindel will be playing at home against Oakwood at 12:00 p.m. on November 4th. Oakwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Trinidad, they will head out on the road to face off against Apple Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Apple Springs is ranked 189th, while Trinidad is ranked 206th).
