Granite Baptist School entered their tilt with the Frederick Baptist Academy Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Granite Baptist School managed a 63-57 victory over Frederick Baptist Academy on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Frederick Baptist Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being John Strine, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Hardt, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Granite Baptist School's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Frederick Baptist Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Baptist School will square off against Calvary Baptist at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frederick Baptist Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Independent Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th. Independent Baptist Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game.
