After only nine points in their last contest, Jeffersonville made sure to put some points up on the board against Jennings County on Friday. The Red Devils enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over the Panthers. The Red Devils pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jeffersonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darien Williams, who rushed for 157 yards and one TD while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Williams is becoming a predictor of the Red Devils' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nation Roe-mcbroom, who picked up 157 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Jeffersonville's run defense was locked in: Jennings County could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Tre Martin for the heroic effort on defense: he. Jeffersonville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged seven.
Jeffersonville's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Larry Sherman was the leader with four.
Jennings County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cameron Patterson, who rushed for 91 yards and two scores, and Brandan Mccory, who picked up 40 receiving yards and one TD. Mccory also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes.
Jeffersonville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Jennings County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
After each having a week off, Jeffersonville and Center Grove will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Red Devils' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 34.9 points per game this season. As for Jennings County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-0 loss against Bedford North Lawrence on the 24th.
