Christ's Church Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played St. Joseph Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Eagles blew past the Flashes 13-2 on Monday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.

Madison Rutherford spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Molly Schneider, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Rylee Dynesius was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win (which was Christ's Church Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Christ's Church Academy will be playing at home against St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will square off against Beachside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flashes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Barracudas have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
